Hardiness: Zone 3b - 9 The Red Maple grows 40 - 60' tall with a spread less than or equal to the height.  Emerging leaves are tinged red, but change to a medium or dark green.  Fall color varies from greenish yellow to yellow to bright red.  Does not always have a brilliant red fall color.
