Gold Ring Barberry
Berberis thunbergii
Hardiness: Zone 4 - 8
Grows 3 - 6' by 4 - 7'. Full sun suits this plant best. It can withstand hard
pruning and is useful as a hedge. This very dense rounded shrub is usually
broader than tall at maturity. The leaves are reddish purple with a green or
yellow - green border around the margin of each leaf. Not as robust in the heat of
Zone 8, but performs reasonably well.
